Candidates for President
Hey friends! My name is Akash Patel and I currently serve as the Director of Corporate Outreach for the Club. My responsibilities included organizing the Career Fair, information sessions, and planning last year's field trip to visit Cigna and Aetna in CT. I thoroughly enjoyed this role because I was directly involved with all the companies that love recruiting Penn State's actuarial science students! I was also the Webmaster the previous year where I added resources for new students and made a lot of updates to the exam/job/internship pages.
I am running for President because I believe my past two positions on the executive board combined with my enthusiasm to see students succeed will allow me to have meaningful impact during my term. The Club helped me a ton early on in my college career and as President, I would like to provide more company exposure to students through Career Fair workshops, field trips, and case competitions. My commitment from working with the Club for two years will help me effectively support the rest of the executive board so we can work together to provide more resources and opportunities so students can succeed in classes, exams, and with recruiting. Thank you for your consideration in voting me President - and remember, a vote for me is a vote for you!
Hi, I’m Marceli Pawlikowski and I’m running to be your next president! I had leadership roles in many organizations on campus including project manager at Student Consulting for Nonprofit Organizations, treasurer for Spectrum club and assistant director for communications in Actuarial Science club. My experience is quite an unusual background to run for a president of the club. However, this unique perspective gives me a chance to serve the club better while bringing new ideas to the table.
My main goal for the semester is to create a more inclusive club in which every member feels included. At the same time, I want to give you even more career opportunities. If you want to hear the details of how I plan to accomplish those goals and how my leadership experience prepared me to lead the club check out the video to the left!
Please, help me in creating a better club by voting for me to be your next president!
Did I still not persuade you? Please come and talk with me during my daily office hours that I’m going to run through the next two weeks, before the break. I’ll be in the Business Building Atrium waiting to talk with YOU about your concerns and suggestions. My schedule is:
Th 12/10 8pm W 12/11 1pm Th 12/12 4pm F 12/13 1pm

Candidates for Vice President
Hi! I'm Aidan Lake and I currently serve as The Club's Webmaster. In this role, I reorganized the website to eliminate duplicate information and expanded our resources such a the "Career Tips" page, created the brand new "Excel/Coding" tab where you can learn new technical skills, and worked directly with a Penn State hired programmer to automate our database systems. On the board this year I valued community and teamwork, while holding a very high professional standard.
I'm running for Vice President for several reasons, but the biggest reason is that I simply LOVE this club. Beyond the tremendous resources the club offered me as a young freshman, I truly feel that I've met some of the most remarkable aspiring actuaries through The Club. The relationships that the club facilitates are vital to all of our long term successes. That's why the role of Vice President is perfect for me - I want to take the mentor/mentee system to new heights. When I asked for a mentor in my first month at Penn State I had no idea how beneficial it truly could be. Now, with two mentees of my own, I am ready and able to bring more actuarial students together in these fantastic relationships.
In terms of implementing new ideas beyond the mentor/mentee program, I want to work with the department to better teach about the P+C track early on, organize in-house case competitions, teach new technical skills through coding workshops, and take our resume and interviewing workshops to the next level. The best part is that these are things I can get done! I was part of the 1st place underclassmen team in the Casualty Actuarial Society case competition, I created the new learning tools on the website for coding using my own knowledge, and I am in the business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi where I learned complex interviewing and resume building techniques. All of these experiences will help me better serve YOU as your vice president.
A vote for Aidan Lake is a vote for intense passion, enhanced resources, and a strong actuarial community!

Hi, I'm Noah Donten. I am currently the Director of Technology for the club. In this role, I am responsible for maintaining the recruiter and alumni databases, and creating the resume books. I am grateful to have had this opportunity to help promote Penn State students to employers! Serving on the club Executive Board has been a great experience and it was awesome to see how driven PSU actuarial students are.
I believe that my experience in the major and on the executive board thus far would make me a solid choice for Vice President. I have two major ambitions for the club next year - to focus on actuarial exam support and club member engagement. Exams are at the center of our academic and early professional lives, and I think the primary purpose of the club should be to help us as students pass them while simultaneously working towards our degree. I have also met some great friends through the actuarial program, and I think by promoting a more social focus our club could bring us together outside of the classroom.
This website is brought to you by The Penn State Actuarial Science Club's Webmaster, Aidan Lake.
