The Director of Corporate Outreach, Justin Morrison (psuactuarial@gmail.com), will follow up to confirm:
- Requested dates/times (45 minutes).
- Time slots start in mid-August and end in early September.
- Sunday time slots during the day before the Career Fair fill up quickly so if you would like to maximize attendance, consider hosting an info session in the weeks prior to the Career Fair.
- Please plan to stay in the room after the presentation to answer questions from the general group.
2. Schedule your information session before your first round interviews
- Information sessions in the first few weeks of classes get greater attendance.
- Some employers like to have their info sessions the Sunday before the Career Fair.
- If you do, please register early because those times fill up quickly.
- Top Sponsors (Platinum Sponsors) will get their time selections before the Standard Sponsors.
- Post all internship and full-time positions on Nittany Lion Careers, ideally before your information session.
3. Market your information session
- Email the Director of Corporate Outreach a logo or a flyer advertising your event. It will be sent to the Actuarial Science email list.
- If you do not reach out, your information session will not get advertised well.
- Career Services doesn't have our email list so they cannot advertise it to actuarial students.
- Tip: ask former interns who are back on campus to promote your info session!
